Andrew Borek serves as the Managing Member at Alan Margolin & Associates, responsible for the firm’s daily operations, administration and business development. Andrew is a registered architect in the state of New York and New Jersey, as well as a LEED certified professional.

Prior to joining Alan Margolin & Associates, Andrew served as an architect, project manager, and designer for Peter Marino Architect, Sawyer | Berson, and Development Strategies Company, where he contributed to the development, design and execution of projects throughout the United States and international communities. Andrew received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Architecture from the Tulane School of Architecture.

An ICC Certified Master of Special Inspections and expert on New York City’s Building Code, Young Suh is Chief Engineer and Director at Alan Margolin & Associates, where he guides the engineering process and is responsible for the development of the firm’s engineers.

Young is a licensed professional engineer in New York State, a certified building commissioning professional, as well as a Level I Certified Infrared Thermographer, Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator, New York State Licensed Asbestos Inspector, and Certified International Code Council Structural Masonry Special Inspector, Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector and Structural Welding Special Inspector. Young received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and has extensive building experience.

Alan Margolin founded the firm in 1981, and grew it into one of the leading New York engineering firms focused on special inspections. With a strong background in construction Alan’s experience provided a unique understanding of what’s required of an inspection firm today.

After attending the Carnegie Institute of Technology (now known as Carnegie Mellon University), Alan went on to graduate from New York University with a BS in Economics, and then attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology completing graduate coursework in Construction Management. Alan is a licensed Professional Engineer in five states including New York, Connecticut, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts.
