Smoke Control Systems
The 2014 NYC Building Code clarifies that a Mechanical Systems Inspection is required for post-fire smoke purge systems that are not required to function as smoke control systems.
"Post-fire smoke purge systems that are not required to function as a smoke control system shall be permitted to be inspected pursuant to the special inspection requirements of Section 1704.16 "
