In this industry, it can be hard to keep up with change. In 2022, the NYC DOB released brand new construction codes that introduced twelve new Special Inspection items.
If a Special Inspection Agency (SIA) was registered at the time for a given corresponding inspection item, they were automatically deemed fit to perform the corresponding new inspection item for up to one year. The grace period has now lapsed, and all SIA’s must be registered for each unique inspection item as per Buildings Bulletin 2022-014.

AMAA is Class-One accredited and registered with the DOB to perform all newly-added inspection items, making us the perfect fit for your project’s special inspection needs! If you are constructing a new mass timber structure or large warehouse, or any other building type, we can offer single source inspections and testing resources for your project.
